Effective January, 2017, at this link are found papers that come under the general heading: What is humanity? The word humanity is used as the inclusive term for any social arrangement involving two or more persons. Given this, such words as community, others, marriage, family, institution, business, government, and culture can be used as substitutes where appropriate. If one goes to the being of humanity as substance, one enters such fields as anthropology and history, as well as other disciplines that tend to toward a clinical analysis of human social arrangements. If one goes to the being of humanity as essence, one enters the field held by sociology and its many attendant disciplines.
